Robert Walter Justis, 54, of Bushkill, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2017 at St Luke's Hospital- Bethlehem.
Born on April 15, 1963 in Hackensack NJ, he was the son of the late William and Beverly (Jones) Justis.
Robert was the loving husband of Andrea Justis with whom he shared 28 long years. He was the father to Victoria Justis and adoptive father to many. He was a brother, an uncle, and a godfather. Robert Walter Justis, 54, of Bushkill, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2017 at St Luke's Hospital- Bethlehem.
Born on April 15, 1963 in Hackensack NJ, he was the son of the late William and Beverly (Jones) Justis.
Robert was the loving husband of Andrea Justis with whom he shared 28 long years. He was the father to Victoria Justis and adoptive father to many. He was a brother, an uncle, and a godfather. Robert was a US Army military policeman and volunteer firefighter since the 1980's. He also started the dive rescue team for the Bushkill Fire Department, and worked EMS at St. Luke's Hospital. He was a true public servant and first responder. He impacted more lives in his short 54 years than most people ever will. Above all, he was a hero. Robert Justis gave his life to protect others, he was a first responder and they give their lives to protect ours.
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife Andrea include: daughter; Victoria Justis of Bushkill: brothers; Glenn Justis and his wife Laine of South Carolina, William Justis Jr. and his wife Susan of New Jersey: niece; Carlyn and nephews Joe and William III.
A memorial service will be held on Friday June 23, 2017 at 10:00am at the Bushkill Reform Church 5969 Milford Rd, East Stroudsburg, PA 18302. Afterwards, the Celebration of his Life will be held at the Bushkill Volunteer Fire Station 124 Evergreen Dr, Lehman Township, PA 18324.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any volunteer foundations, it is greatly appreciated by his family.
